Coventry Carol

English

for soprano or baritone solo and SATTB unaccompanied This gentle arrangement for a cappella choir of the well-known fifteenth-century carol conjures a restful but evocatively melancholy atmosphere. The texture is varied by the use of a soprano or baritone soloist, while the harmonies move with purpose and piquancy. A version for unaccompanied upper voices with soprano soloist is also available.
