Ulrich Schwaneberg is the department head of Biochemical Engineering at the Jacobs University Bremen in Bremen Germany. He earned his academic degrees from the University of Stuttgart (R. D. Schmids group) and spent two years as postdoc at Caltech (F. H. Arnolds group) before taking up his appointment as Assistant Professor at Jacobs University Bremen in January 2002. Ulrich Schwaneberg got promoted in March 2006 to Associate Professor level authoring more than 40 scientific publications related to directed evolution and 10 patents out of collaborations with many main industrial players in the field of directed evolution. Radivoje Prodanovic is Alexander von Humboldt postdoctoral research fellow at the Jacobs University Bremen in Bremen Germany. He finished his Doctoral and Magisterium studies at the Department of Biochemistry Faculty of Chemistry University of Belgrade Serbia where he earned academic degree Research Associate. He has 14 articles published in international journals (6 of them as first and corresponding author) in the field of Biocatalysis. He is also coauthor of the book: EnzymologyLaboratory manual published in Serbian and sponsored by the WUS association from Austria for the students of Biochemistry at Faculty of Chemistry in Belgrade.
