About Jan Dobbins

Jan Dobbins is a specialist in music education for young children. A songwriter and composer she runs creative children''s workshops focusing on instrumental music art and drama. She is also an instrumental teacher and former head of music for schools in North Somerset England and has written a successful tutor book series for violin viola and cello. David Sim was born in Glasgow England. He studied graphic design at the Edinburgh College of Art in the UK and then he studied illustration at the Royal College of Art London. He then worked for many years in London for a wide range of clients including magazines design groups and advertising firms. He now works mainly for children''s publishers illustrating designing and writing children''s books. This is his first project with Barefoot!
