Every Night Temo se la Dinner
Hardback | English
By (author): Gonzalo Golpe
A wild photographic journal around eleven encounters with eleven men. Every night temo ser la dinner, by Sofia Ayarzagoitia, is a vibrant and rambling narration which revolves around her encounters with eleven men of different races and backgrounds. A wild proclamation of love by an author who displays the crude view of children and the insane. Through non-linear micro-narrations, Sofia Ayarzagoitia composes, in the form of a performance, a series of experiences captured by her camera. The texts in the book are written in ''pocho'', the name given in Mexico to the frontier language between Spanish and English. According to the photographer, the title of the book is an ironic metaphor of how I came to feel some of those nights ... In a primarily male universe, I was never sure whether they were going to ask me for a date, or tell me off for wanting to take their picture. Sofia Ayarzagoitia (Monterrey, 1987) has been the 2016 winner of the Mock-up Contest organized by La Fabrica. 140 images
