Geordie Newcastle: How we used to live

English

By (author): Neil Storey

Geordie Newcastle is a unique collection of evocative photographs from a golden age in Newcastles past. The result of hours of research in Newcastle City Librarys archive to restore photographs from the original glass plates which hadnt been touched for decades. From the end of the 19th Century to the 1950s, the pictures chosen offer us a glimpse into a world that some of us will remember with fondness and that helped shape what it means to be a Geordie today.
