International Business Law and Its Environment

Today, no business is purely domestic. From the smallest local firms to the multinationals, all firms are affected by global competition, world events and changes in national and international business law. Schaffer/Agusti/Dhooge/Berger-Walliser's INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS LAW AND ITS ENVIRONMENT, 11th EDITION, delivers reader-friendly coverage of the legal implications of international business. You will focus on risk management in cross-border business transactions, legal considerations in international management decision-making, and government regulatory compliance. You will examine three ways of doing business internationally, including import and export trade in goods and services, the licensing of intellectual property, and direct ownership and operation of foreign firms and subsidiaries. Geopolitical, economic, cultural and ethical issues are addressed throughout. Real-world examples, precedent-setting court cases and managerial and ethics case studies bring business law to life.
