About John McGlade

John McGlade is a freelance writer from Glasgow. Inspired by the comedy of The Young Ones the Marx Brothers and Spike Milligan he began his writing career by stealing school jotters filling them up and passing them round the playground. He's since gone on to write for television and radio scripting many satirical and comedy shows and his work has been nominated for a BBC Audio Drama Award. He has also published poems short stories and flash fiction. John also writes for stand-up comedians and his plays have been performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
