About Pamala D. Larsen
Dr. Larsen practiced nursing from 1969 until she retired in 2013. Her last 28 years of practice were as a faculty member and administrator in schools of nursing that offered BSN and MS degrees. Dr. Larsen maintained certification as a rehabilitation registered nurse (CCRN) from 1986-2011. Dr. Larsen has been associated with this text first as the author of the rehabilitation chapter since 1995. She was asked by Ilene Lubkin to co-edit the text beginning with the 4th edition. With Ms. Lubkins death in 2005 she became the sole editor with the 6th edition. Dr. Larsen retired as Professor Emeritus from the University of Wyoming Laramie WY in 2013.
