About Matthew Shaw

Born in 1987 Matthew Shaw is a writer of fiction non-fiction and poetry. Originally from Hull East Yorkshire he now lives in West Sussex with his wife. At the University of Hull he studied for an MA in Creative Writing before training in Brighton to become a secondary school English teacher. Having had short pieces of fiction and non-fiction published Man Of The House is his first novel. Set in Hull it draws inspiration from the local area whilst also taking an interest in the great global historical events of the Second World War.
