Gordon Morris wrote this book originally as a kind of diary for himself. It is an account of the antics of his English springer spaniel mainly on their walks together on Hayling Beach, near Portsmouth. It is also a cautionary tale of the hectic nature of the breed, and the enormous commitment it is to look after such an intelligent, energetic, bloody-minded type of dog.
