About
Jon Cloake taught History for 35 years to students aged 11-18. He has 33 years examining experience 25 years of which have been at a senior level for GCSE and A-Level. As a senior examiner he has been involved in curriculum development as well as setting and assessment of examination papers. He was Head of Humanities and an Assistant Principal in a large local authority school. Jon has written a number of GCSE and A-Level textbooks during his career. Aaron Wilkes is the Series Editor for Oxford AQA GCSE History. He is now one of the leading history authors in school publishing as well as being Head of History at Castle High School Dudley. His time at Castle High has given him the experience of six Ofsted inspections and taking two form classes up to Year 11. It is this experience that gives him a good bank of knowledge and first-hand practical experience to draw on.
