About
Elena Chaika has been working for Voronezh State University Russia since 1984 when she graduated as an interpreter and teacher of English language and literature. She completed her PhD in Language Education in 2002 and is currently a Senior Lecturer of the English Philology department pre-service language teacher trainer and designer of learning materials. Her research interests include innovative technologies in language teaching teacher education and development. The international projects she took part in allowed her to learn the best teaching practices and then share her experience with language teachers worldwide.Yuri Maslov has been teaching English at secondary school junior college and university since 1981 when he graduated from Minsk Linguistic State University Belarus. After completing his PhD in Pedagogy in 1996 he has combined the position of a Senior Lecturer with heading language departments in higher educational institutions and designing learning materials for secondary and higher school. His research interests include innovative technologies in translation and interpreting semiotics and intercultural communication. Since 1985 he has been translating poetry from/into English. At present he is engaged in extensive research in literary retranslation theory and practice.
