Rome 1943 ... As war ravages Italy, Rome is bombed by the Allies and occupied by the Germans. The city's inhabitants are watched and under curfew, and some join the burgeoning resistance. Francesca, an art student, finds work at Rome's opera house. Amidst the glamour and intrigue, she discovers dangerous secrets.
