Telephone Calls from the Dead: Revised second edition
English
By (author): Callum Cooper
There are potentially hundreds of people who have experienced bizarre events of Telephone Calls from the Dead, and much like ghosts, and any other parapsychological phenomena, they appear to be highly common. Once all explanations have been considered, psychological and physical, are we genuinely faced with the reality of contact with the dead and evidence for survival? This question has been asked before, and was investigated back in 1979, in a book entitled Phone Calls from the Dead, written by D. Scott Rogo and Raymond Bayless. For many years, this subject has remained dormant, until now Even in parapsychological circles, the notion that the dead can sometimes contact the living via the telephone is often greeted with unease. Dr Matt Colborn, Journal of the SPR, 2013. [Cooper] should be complimented for taking up this almost forgotten subject in a thoughtful and thorough manner. Prof. Erlendur Haraldsson, Journal of Scientific Exploration, 2013. Callum Coopers approach and attention to detail clearly disproves the skeptical argument that parapsychology and continued research into the paranormal falls within the realms of pseudo-science. Paul Adams, Light, 2015. Even without professed powers of prediction, it does not take much of a leap of faith to see Cooper as a future Professor of Public Understanding of Psychology. Richard Wiseman watch out. Nicky Sewell, Anomaly, 2012. This is certainly a hugely under-researched subject, and Callum must be applauded for doing sterling work on this subject. This book is due to become a modern classic. David Taylor, Psychical Studies, 2012. As Anomalous Telephone Contacts from the dead continue to be experienced and reported, Telephone Calls from the Dead is a useful review of the phenomenon and of the investigations into it. Mark Boccuzzi, Journal of Parapsychology, 2013.
