About Igor Baranko

Igor Baranki is a Ukranian comic writer and artist. He studied Fine Arts in Ukraine before serving in the Red Army for two years. Hating every minute he used his time out of the military after the fall of the USSR to look for the meaning of life in Buddhist regions of Siberia. Retuning to an economic slump in Ukraine Baranko submitted his work to Western European publishers. After winning the US Green Card Lottery he moved to the US where he began working on American comics like Bart Simpson (Bongo Comics) and Skaggy the Lost (Slave Labor Graphics). His comic The Horde (Humanoids) was published simultaneously in France and the US.
