About Tony Ratcliff

Tony Ratcliff started life in the virtually derelict two up two down back to back houses of Hulme Manchester at the beginning of the 1950's. He moved to Wythenshawe the garden city of Manchester in late 1957 with his parents and siblings. After getting married he lived in different areas of Greater Manchester including Langley and Harpurhey before returning to Wythenshawe with his now late wife and children. He later married his second wife Sara Ratcliff. Tony has recorded many of the songs he has written on audio cassette tapes in previous years. Tony Ratcliff is also the author of three books of his memoirs in short story form Be Home Before it gets Dark Son The Sky is my Witness it Saw it All and Manchester...More of my Life's Stories. He has also written a children's learning story book Countryside and the Flash in a Field.
