Tony Hart: A Portrait of My Dad

English

By (author): Carolyn Ross

A regular fixture on British television for over 40 years, Tony Hart entertained and inspired generations of children. In this heart-felt, very personal account of his life, his daughter Carolyn paints a complete portrait of her father. Drawing from her own experiences and the countless stories he shared with her, she offers an insight into his life - from his early childhood and time as a choirboy in London, serving in India as an officer in the 1st Gurkha Rifles, working as a freelance artist, and, of course, his work on Vision On, Take Hart, Hartbeat, and the other programmes that made him a household name. Includes a forward by Morph (with a little help from his creator, Peter Lord, co-founder of Aardman Animations). See more
