About Chris Rodgers

Chris Rodgers was born in Preston in 1950 and spent most of his working life in local government. Chris's writing is inspired by his love of walking on the fells of the Lake District and also farther afield in Wales and Scotland. His story telling follows a long tradition of picking up on historical themes and ancient places in the Lake District and he has written numerous articles including a feature on climbing Scafell via Lord's Rake for Trail magazine. Chris is married to Liz and they have two grown up children. He has told many of his real-life adventures to his grandchildren who always ask if they are really true stories.
