This book is an introduction to a comprehensive analysis of recent advances and clinical research in noninvasive mechanical ventilation (NIV) in Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine. The objective of the book is to increase the knowledge and understanding of the reader in the best clinical practice in three main sections. 

A selected international group of experts in the field of noninvasive ventilation formed a panel to provide an update on the recent literature in the application and efficient utilization of NIV in Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine. About

Antonio M. Esquinas is critical care specialist and staff physician in the Intensive Care Unit at the Hospital Morales Meseguer Murcia Spain. He is an active member and International fellow of the American Association Respiratory Care (AARC) fellow of the American Collage Chest Physicians (ACCP) European Respiratory Society; and Director of the International School of Non Invasive Ventilation and President of International Association of Non Invasive Ventilation.His main research activities are related to noninvasive mechanical ventilation in pulmonary and critical care. He is the author of 53 books (in English Portuguese Spanish and Chinese) numerous articles (662) and chapters (140) and has actively participated in international meetings related to education and research on noninvasive ventilation.
