About Richard Kurti

Richard Kurti studied at Cambridge then worked at the BBC which led to a career as a screen writer. Richards film writing includes 14 commissions for US studios (Universal Warner Bros Miramax) and UK companies (Working Title and Pathe). His TV writing includes BBC adaptations of Kidnapped and Sherlock Holmes episodes of Robin Hood Primeval Sinbad Wolfblood and a large-scale adaptation of Terry Pratchetts Going Postal. These shows have earned widespread industry recognition with BAFTA nominations and RTS Awards. In 2013 Richard branched out into new areas with a radio dramatization of The Martian Chronicles. Monkey Wars his debut novel was nominated for the CILIP Carnegie Medal. He lives in Essex.
