School principals sit between all chairs. Everyday work is characterized by a high pace of work and many interruptions. In an effort to lead the school well and with commitment despite a lack of teachers, few resources and high expectations, leaders often exceed their limits. Based on real practical examples, Günter Engel, himself an experienced school principal and systemic consultant, shows how elegant solutions and an inner balance in leadership can be found with mindful self-management and systemic skills. Theoretical and practical knowledge in dealing with conflicts, dilemmas and other emotionally difficult constellations provide readers with options for action and a real insight into the daily challenges faced by school principals. The implementation of the tools described leads to more composure and greater presence in the complex professional field of school.
