About Bill LeeMark N. K. Saunders

Bill Lee is a professor of accounting at Sheffield University Management School. He helped establish communities aimed at advancing understanding of research methods as inaugural secretary of the British Academy of Managements Research Methodology special interest group and inaugural chair of the European Academy of Management Research Methods and Research Practice strategic interest group. He led the establishment of the Methodology Matters section of the European Management Review. His work has appeared in journals such as Accounting Forum British Accounting Review Critical Perspectives on Accounting International Journal of Management Reviews Journal of Applied Behavioral Science Management Accounting Research Organization Studies and Work Employment & Society. He has edited two important collections about research The Real Life Guide to Accounting Research with Christopher Humphrey and Challenges and Controversies in Management Research with Catherine Cassell. He edits SAGEs Research Methods for Business and Management Students book series with Mark Saunders and V. K. Narayanan. Mark N. K. Saunders is a professor of Business Research Methods and director of PhD Programmes at Birmingham Business School University of Birmingham UK. His research interests include research methods in particular participant selection and methods for understanding intraorganizational relationships trust and organizational learning and small business success. He has published in journals such as British Journal of Management Field Methods Human Performance Human Relations Journal of Small Business Management Management Learning Social Science and Medicine and Annals of Tourism Research. He has coauthored a number of books including Research Methods for Business Students (currently in its 8th edition) and with Bill Lee Conducting Case Studies for Business and Management. He is the joint editor with Bill Lee and Vadake Narayanan of SAGEs Understanding Research Methods for Business and Management Students book series and editor for Edward Elgars Handbooks of Research Methods series.
