About

Prof. Gayadhar Panda received his Ph.D. degree from the Utkal University in 2007 in electrical engineering. Dr. Panda joined NIT Meghalaya as an Associate Professor in 2013 and subsequently promoted to the Professor in the year 2017 Electrical Engineering Department. Currently he is administered with temporally position of Director National Institute of Technology Meghalaya India and also associated in various capacities as Dean (Academic Affairs) Dean (Faculty Welfare) HOD Department of Electrical Engineering chairperson/member of the national and institutional level committees apart from his academic and research work activities. Dr. Panda has over 24 years of teaching and research experience. To his credit he has authored more than 130 research papers in various peer reviewed journals and conferences at the national and international level and filed 3 patents. He has also published 1 Book5 Book Chapters as well as served as one of the Editors of 1st ISSETA publication in Springer Book Series. He was invited to deliver over 33 keynote / invited talks at National/International conferences Workshops and Training Programs. Dr. Panda serves as TPC Chair or member of various International conferences. Also 08 nos of scholars have been awarded with Ph.D Degrees under his supervision and currently 06 nos of Researchs scholars are pursuing their research works under his supervision. Prof Panda was decorated with the prestigious award of the Power Medal IE(India) for his published research work and Worlds Top 2 Percent Scientists Published by Stanford University in the year 2020 and 2022. He has completed a good number of sponsored research projects on the integration of renewable energy generation and power quality improvement. He is a Senior Member of IEEE Fellow of IE and Life Member of ISTE. Dr. Panda is Associate Editor for IEEE Access ITES Wiley and also serves on the editorial board for the IJEEPS De Gruyter and the technical/steering committees for several conferences. He has organized several technical events like IEEE Conference Symposium National Workshops etc. He has delivered several invited Talks at various national and international events. His current research interests include automatic generation control stability improvements using flexible alternating current transmission system devices power quality power electronic converters and distributed power generation. His work involves design implementation and operation of AC/DC microgrid with interfacing converters that use digital signal processing artificial intelligence techniques and other novel control methods.. Dr Naayagi Ramasamy received the Bachelors and Masters degrees in electrical and electronics engineering in India with University gold medals and a Ph.D. degree in electrical and electronic engineering from the University of Manchester Manchester UK. She is working for Newcastle University in Singapore (NUiS)where she is currently the Director of Education & Associate Professor in Electrical Power Engineering. Dr. Naayagi has received several merit certificates for her academic proficiency including the Best Outgoing Female Graduate Award during her bachelors and the Outstanding Masters Student Award. She is the first recipient of the Dorothy Hodgkin Post-Graduate Award from the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering University of Manchester for her Ph.D. jointly sponsored by Rolls-Royce plc and the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council U.K. She received the Woman Engineer Award from the Young Professionals Section Chennai Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) U.K. in 2012. She received the Newcastle University Teaching Award in 2016. She was elevated as Senior Member of the IEEE in 2015 and was awarded Senior Fellow status of the Higher Education Academy UK in 2019. She has received the IEEE PES Outstanding Engineer Award in 2021 in recognition of her contributions to the IEEE PES Singapore chapter. She is a steering committee member of NU Women UK and a member of the Diversity Working Group at Newcastle University UK and She has served as the Chair of NUiS women in science and engineering network and organized many events to promote young professionals especially young women in engineering and technology. She has also served as the Chair of the IEEE Power and Energy Society Singapore Chapter from Jan 2019 to Dec 2020. She is an Associate Editor of IEEE/CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems and received the Excellent Young Subject Editor Award for the year 2020 and serves as a Reviewer for the IEEE IET and many other international journals and conferences. Her research interests include renewable energy integration and applications in smart grid power electronics for aerospace electric vehicle applications low carbon electrical energy systems and power electronic solutions to sustainability.   Seifeddine Ben Elghali received the B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering in 2005 from ENIT Tunis Tunisia the M.Sc. degree in Automatic Control in 2006 from the University of Poitiers Poitiers France and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering in 2009 from the University of Brest Brest France. After receiving the Ph.D. degree he joined the French Naval Academy Brest France as a Teaching and Research Assistant. Since 2010 he is an Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering at Aix-Marseille University Marseille France. His current research interests include modeling and control of renewable energy applications.   Shaik Affijulla received the M.Tech. degree in Electrical Engineering from National Institute of Technology Hamirpur Himachal Pradesh India in 2011 and Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from National Institute of Technology Meghalaya Shillong India in 2018. Currently he is working as Assistant Professor inthe Department of Electrical Engineering at the National Institute of Technology Meghalaya Shillong India. His current research interests include the cyber security of smart grids big data analytics phasor measurement units wide area monitoring and protection power system dynamics.
