Tree of Life Quilts: 9 Timeless Projects - Innovative Techniques

English

By (author): Trisch Price

Tree of Life quilts are timeless and varied in style. In her newest book, Trisch Price has reinterpreted the concept to create 9 fresh and innovative quilts. The quilts span a wide range of designs and techniques, and interpretations are broad, from trees to other life-sustaining habitats, such as coral, spider webs, and even our technological world. The designs allow you to try your hand at improvisational piecing, including a unique quilt-as-you-go design that employs circles rather than the traditional blocks.Price also includes an explanation of each quilt's interpretation, ideas on how to change it, and special finishing techniques. About Trisch Price

Trisch Price has been sewing since middle school. She started quilting in 1993 during graduate school after watching The Great American Quilt. After her first quilt was completed (a Lone Star in true '90s colors) she joined her local guild. She enjoys the synergy of quilt guilds and continues to be an active participant. She has always leaned toward the more contemporary quilts. Now she is a dedicated modern quilter with an occasional art quilt thrown in.
