About Graeme Taylor

Graeme Taylor was born in Zachary Merton Hospital in Rustington in 1960 was educated at Rustington C.P. School Littlehampton Comprehensive School then Portsmouth Polytechnic to obtain an Honours Degree in Mathematics and Statistics. After qualifying with a P.G.C.E. at Sussex University Graeme became a Mathematics and P.E. Teacher at his old secondary school in Littlehampton. Since the mid-1980's Graeme has been working as an Accountant and Financial Controller.Graeme is the son of Bev and Mary Taylor B.E.M. the official historians of Rustington and has an older brother Andrew. Graeme married Sue in 1991 at Tarring Church Worthing and they have a daughter Bethany who married Liam in April 2017 and two sons Iain and Edward. Sue who had worked for the N.H.S. throughout her working life was diagnosed with Mesothelioma in late December 2016 and died aged 54 on 26th June 2017 of this industrial disease. Graeme continues to live in Tarring.Graeme co-wrote the book Winds of Change in a Sleepy Sussex Village (Rustington) with his Mum Mary Taylor B.E.M. Graeme is an avid Portsmouth F.C. fan and season ticket holder and plays cricket for the famous Harry Baldwin's Occasionals as seen in the book Fatty Batter by Michael Simkins.Graeme has dedicated the book to his late wife Sue
