Under the threat of the portal being closed, they celebrate the winter festivals in both time zones, making the most of the time they still have together. Danny''s loyalties are divided. Dugal is preparing him to live the rest of his life with them, while his injured mother needs his help and support at home, mourning Danny''s father. Danny is torn between his new-found family in the past, though Kelly warns him against this dangerous option, or his family and Kelly in the present.
