Stories of the Saints: A Collection for Children

4.60 (5 ratings by Goodreads)

English

By (author): Siegwart Knijpenga

What can children learn from the lives of the saints?

Stories and legends of the saints have been passed down throughout history. The lives of these remarkable people provide richly inspiring material to help children learn and grow.

This enjoyable and interesting selection of tales and legends includes over forty saints, ranging from well-known heroes like St Francis and Joan of Arc, to less known but equally intriguing characters from a wide range of periods and places.

In his retellings Siegwart Knijpenga draws on his
extensive experience of sharing religious lessons with young people, taking into account what young listeners have enjoyed or responded to, and the questions they’ve
asked. The result is an engaging and exciting collection of stories for children aged between seven and eleven.
