About Erik Speyer

Erik Speyer was born in Argentina raised in Denmark South America and the US and began painting as a child. He has continued painting throughout his life even while flying for the U.S. Navy designing museum exhibits and directing a science museum. He is a full time prize-winning artist. He wrote and illustrated The Adventures of Kubi. The inspiration for The adventures of Kubi came during one of his trips to Vietnam where he learned from a friend of a little dog who often jumped onto the back of a friendly water buffalo to catch a ride or a nap.
