About Light Townsend Cummins

Light Townsend Cummins is Bryan Professor of History at Austin College in Sherman Texas USA. He is the author or editor of several books on Texas and Louisiana history including Emily Austin of Texas 17951851 (TCU Press 2009) which won the Liz Carpenter Award from the Texas State Historical Association for research in the history of women. Larry McNeill is an Austin attorney and past president of the Texas State Historical Association.
